Farm Business Services

As well as providing the usual land management and professional rural services that you would expect, Moule & Co also offer our clients practical everyday help in managing the farm paperwork and keeping on top of the record keeping requirements.

We can work with you in a number of ways, and provide as much or as little help as you need - we are totally flexible and can provide assistance on a weekly, monthly or 'as and when' basis. Our services dovetail in to any existing advice you already get such as from your agronomist, and we can pick up the gaps.

Mini - Farm Business Appraisals

Although a full business appraisal is an extremely useful document, very often smaller bite-sized pieces of information, with practical pointers and achievable targets is more worthwhile, and easier to handle. We can help work through various elements of your business, providing costings, benchmarking, cost analysis, market analysis, but on a practical afforable scale. Call us to discuss how we may be able to help your business.

Health and Safety

We go through what measures you can take to be better prepared, your responsibility to your workers and the public, and ways of reducing your liability.

Environmental and other regulatory requirements

There are several rules and regulations which fall outside the scope of Farm Assurance and Cross Compliance, but it can be difficult to remember or even know about all the requirements. We can go through everything that applies to your farm and make sure you are up to date and compliant.

How do we do this?

We can help you in a number of ways. We can offer a one off 'FarmCheck!' Service which is where we go through all of the above with you, and get you up to date. We offer a 'reminder' option too, where inbetween visits we still notify you of forthcoming relevant dates and deadlines. We can also offer a managed service which is developed to suit you, but we provide two case studies below to show you an example of how it works:

Case study 1 - Large mixed farm arable and beef, Worcestershire

As well as helping the business with their Single Farm Payment application we also help them with their Farm Assurance, Cross Compliance and other regulatory requirements such as feed hygiene, waste and environmental requirements. We do this by visiting the farmer for about half a day three or four times a year to get the paperwork and records up to date. Between visit we also text the farmer when deadlines or dates relating to his Cross Compliance, Entry Level Stewardship and other matters arise, so he's always up to date.

Case study 2 - Small livestock farm, Worcestershire / Herefordshire border

As well as the work we do for the client above, we also help this farmer with his livestock movement records, passport applications, vet and med records etc, and so visit normally on a fortnightly basis. We also help this farmer keep on top of his other office jobs such as licensing and insuring his vehicles. We also provided our client with a Cross Compliance wallchart so he knows what his GAEC's and SMR's are and mean, at a glance.
