The RDPE Growth Programme grant scheme has re-opened as of 1st November 2019, with grants of up to £750,000 now available for projects which create jobs and support the rural economy.
There are three different grant types:
1) Business Development
2) Food Processing
3) Rural Tourism Infrastructure
Eligible costs include capital items such as buildings, equipment and machinery.
Grant funding is for a minimum of £20,000, or 40% of project costs. This has been reduced from previous rounds of the scheme to encourage support for smaller projects. The minimum total project costs in order to qualify is £50,000.
Expressions of Interest must be submitted by 16th February 2020. If successful then this will be followed by a full, detailed application. All projects must be completed and grant claims submitted no later than 30th September 2021.
Full details and the application handbooks are available from the RPA website:(https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/rdpe-growth-programme).
