If you are a farmer or other land manager, you could apply for a Hedgerows and Boundaries Grant to help restore existing farm boundaries, and bring environmental and landscape benefits to your land.
The application window for the 2020 Countryside Stewardship Hedgerows and Boundaries Grant Scheme closes on 1 May 2020.
The scheme covers a significant proportion of costs after funding was increased in 2018 and Anna Jovanovic, Assistant Rural Surveyor, urges farmers to act now to be sure not to miss out on this opportunity to unlock public funding.
“Hedges and walls are a valuable part of the country’s heritage, landscape and biodiversity, as well as being important from a management perspective.
Landowners can apply for a maximum grant of £10,000 as a stand alone 2 year capital grant. Hedgerow and Boundary funding is also available as part of the full mid-tier Countryside Stewardship scheme.”
