Working With Architects..
The design of a building is one of the most important elements of any planning application. National as well as local planning policy focusses in great detail on the design elements of building;
- Does it look right in the setting?
- Does it fit its purpose?
- Is it practical?
- Is it appropriate etc……
We use and recommend a number of different architects, some are better suited to one time bespoke work whilst other are ideal for a larger development scheme. It is also essential that you have a good understanding and relationship with the architect that you instruct for your work, they must understand your aims and objectives and be able to project these into the design.
Once the drawings are drafted and a planning application submitted we would liaise between you and your architect to respond to any design queries that the planning officer may have. This collaborative approach will result in a flowing planning process with the best chance of success.
